IS THE CONCUSSION TEST A JOKE?

In Monday night’s game against the San Francisco 49ers, Arizona Cardinals star Larry Fitzgerald did appear to get his bell rung twice. The only reaction by the medical staff of the Cards that could be seen by the Monday Night Football audience was the use of smelling salts in the huddle. When does the NFL’s much heralded protocol get implemented? Why are team athletic trainers diagnosing concussions? Where are the neurologists on game days, in luxury seats with their families or on the field? Bleacher Report columnist Jamal Collier suggests that “Larry Fitzgerald and the Cardinals Prove the NFL’s Concussion Test Is a Joke.”
